Salad Bar

At our House we love to eat salad. Last year I planted some spinach and mixed greens. I only had a few of each, but we went through them almost faster than they could produce. So this year I tripled the amount planted and had a larger variety. It is really satisfying to be able to walk outside and grab lunch. And because it's grown here, it is packed full of vitamins and nutrients.

Romaine Lettuce and Baby Carrots

Spinach and Beets

Mixed Baby Greens

A fresh handful heading for the table

The finished product.
It doesn't get more satisfying or tasty!

  1. We were amazed when we first saw your garden in March and were so inspired we went home and made our own version of your raised gardens. We have learned several lessons since our first planting in late April but we are not discouraged. We did harvest some letus but had to take up our corn as the little green worms somewhat did them in. We will be more selective in our plantings next time round. Til then I must say how glad I am that I get to eat out of your garden when I'm in town.
